RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with quality related activities required for design and manufacture of marine propulsion equipment in accordance with the company’s ISO 9001:2008 Quality Assurance System (QAS).
- Review inspection data, address non-conforming materials issues and consistent follow up with vendors and engineering to evaluate root cause of non-conformity.
- Follow up with suppliers for non-conforming materials and completion of corrective action plans.
- Evaluate vendor’s quality systems overseeing site audits and manufacturing process capabilities.
- Participate in design control activities with engineering to identify quality related issues during the design phases of product development and modification.
- Manage corrective/preventive action system and track corrective action activities from all sources.
- Conduct internal audit activities and scheduled completions.
- Participate in third party audits and assessments.
- Interface and coordinate with customers, marine classification societies, and project management to address and resolve quality issues and concerns relative to non-conformance and corrective actions.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, shop routers, manufacturing specifications, and quality control documents.
- Create, organize and maintain QA documentation.
This is a direct hire position located in Northwest Houston.
Salary range for this position is $50,000 to $79,000, depending on experience.
