The candidate in this position will Interpret blueprints and sketches, perform machine set up, assist in the training of other machinists in the proper operating methods and procedures and perform machining operations to produce parts.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches, and follow oral and written instructions
• Perform machine set up, selecting the proper tools and fixtures
• Utilize applicable mathematics
• Demonstrate proficient use of hand tools, gauges and measuring devices
• Assist in the training of other machinists in the proper operating methods and procedures
• Follow machine shop inspection procedures
• Perform machining operations to produce parts at the acceptable quality standard
• Possess working knowledge of machining properties of metals
• Perform other duties as assigned
This is a contract position located in Houston near Hwy 90 and 288.
Salary for this position is $15.00 per hour.
